Creating Stronger Connections, One Session at a Time
I’m David Apelorioye, a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over a decade of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you’re understood, supported, and given practical tools to move forward. My work is grounded, compassionate, and focused on helping you build healthier relationships with yourself, your loved ones, and your work.
Over the years, I’ve walked alongside people facing challenges like:
-
Relationship issues
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Trauma
-
Grief
-
Parenting struggles
-
Career stress
-
Financial issues (Master's Degree in Financial Management Ladoke Akintola University of Technology-Ogbomoso, Nigeria)
I’m especially passionate about couples counselling. Particularly, helping partners break free from cycles of conflict, rediscover intimacy, and strengthen communication.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Together, we’ll find the approach that feels right for you and your goals. I often draw from:
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help shift unhelpful thought patterns
-
Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to uncover strengths and create practical steps forward
-
Emotion-Focused Therapy to deepen connection and improve communication in relationships
-
Reality Therapy to support clarity and accountability in decision-making
-
Counselling through a Biblical worldview. The use of scripture or prayer is always optional and guided by your comfort level
My goal is always to create a collaborative, respectful environment where you feel empowered to take the next step in your healing journey.
I work with
-
Adults (individuals and families)
-
Couples seeking support with communication, intimacy, or life transitions
-
People navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or workplace conflict
-
Parents balancing the demands of family and career
I currently offer evening sessions, both in-person and virtually, to make therapy more accessible for busy lives.
I’m now accepting new clients and would be honoured to support you. If you and your partner (or you on your own) are ready to explore whether working together feels like the right fit, I invite you to book a consultation.
If you’re ready to take the first step towards positive change, book your initial session online today.
